One of the more interesting races in the 2010 election will be the 48th district, where incumbent John Campbell will run against two-time Irvine mayor Beth Krom.
Campbell (R), who won his Congressional seat in 2005, is gearing up for one of the most formidable democratic challenges by Ms. Krom (D). The 48th district historically votes republican, although President Barack Obama narrowly won this district in 2008. A libertarian candidate, Mike Binkley, will also be on the ballot.
The 48th district includes Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Tustin, and parts of Newport Beach and San Juan Capistrano.

After an entire year of personally soliciting at John Campbell's Fashion Island office trying to get the Congressman to hear our grievances on issue after issue! The Congressman was never available or even spotted coming or going to is office. For all we know the man could be dead and we are paying an account with a cardboard figure. Usually in a years time there would at least be a sighting!
