President Carter and his gal pal, Maureen

An important mission is out there for President Carter. Release Maureen Dowd from her padded cell. Unshackle her and take away the psychotropics. She'll be free at last, thank Jimmy almighty, free at last. It was he, our former President, who's race card smack down got us brawling, though Mo spit on the crowd with her racism hurl.

Lost and out of touch with reality, together these false Prophets can roam the streets, sleep in card board boxes and preach from the corners. They'll have about as much impact as the crazy shouting from the Bible with his home made Jesus sign.

Boy, oh, Boy, Dowd's recent tar and feather of American racism, had to be written in isolation.

Not so fast, girl. The President's lying is debatable. He probably has, but Maureen was still under the influence, so we can forgive that one. Except that notion, he doesn't lie, is crucial. Conservatives fight the lies they see, not the black man everyone sees. Maureen is blind to this.

I've been loath to admit that the shrieking lunacy of the summer - the frantic efforts to paint our first black President as the Other, a foreigner, socialist fascist, Marxist...

It's just nutty that the Queen of Snark is lamenting the snarkiness of others. Especially after her own frantic efforts to paint George Bush as a shrieking loony and Dick Cheney as Darth Vader.

Poor Jimmy. We still love him, but...he does seem to have more in common with that preacher on the corner than a dignified former President. Polls show many Americans take exception to his branding them racists for opposing those (non) lies of President Obama.

The only explanation is that Maureen is locked in that padded cell. Rescue her President Carter. Together you can have a transcending experience, see the light, and realize that the President lies, and those who criticize and oppose him are not all racists.
