H. Michael "Mike" Mogil wears many hats, but they all revolve about an educational nucleus. Mike has a long and rich education and training legacy including numerous assignments within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), writing for Science and Children magazine (National Science Teachers Association elementary journal), classroom experience within a private school setting and scores of teacher training talks, school visits and science day participation (locally and nationally). The program accomplishes this through the actual camps and after camp experiences, mentorships and internships. Most recently, Mike and his wife, Barbara (a certified teacher), started their own tutoring center in Naples, FL. While the focus of Mathworks Tutoring is clearly math, their growing staff also tutor and mentor students in all subject areas. In addition to face-to-face, totally tailored tutoring, they tutor some students online, some even overseas. Mike has written as the Fort Myers, FL Weather Examiner since January 2010, publishing, on average, one article every three days. He has also begun writing nationally-focused articles as a national weather examiner. He has both B.S. and M.S. degrees in meteorology from Florida State University and is a Certified Broadcast and Certified Consulting Meteorologist (ranking awarded by the American Meteorological Society). He has written numerous books on science experimentation and extreme weather. You can contact Mike directly at hmmogil@weatherworks.com.
