Friday, December 25th. Ho Ho Ho! Today is Christmas Day, one of the happiest days of the year. I’ve safely returned to the North Pole after a very long and very busy Christmas Eve. The reindeer and I hit some turbulent weather over the Pacific Ocean, but otherwise our journey around the globe went very smoothly.
When I returned home, Mrs. Claus prepared my favorite breakfast (blueberry pancakes with extra syrup). All the elves are already busy straightening up the workshop in preparation for next Christmas.
Thank you all for keeping me company and tracking my rounds through NORAD. Thanks also for all the milk and cookies, and ham & cheese sandwiches. I never get enough of those excellent treats, and they help keep me going through the long, cold night. The reindeer also appreciated all the carrots you left for them. Mrs. Claus just informed me that she’ll be knitting me a brand new suit for next Christmas.
Today, I’m just going to relax in my favorite easy chair by the fireplace where I have a special Yule log burning which helps me remember all the wonderful times I’ve had this past year in the North Pole.
Tomorrow I’ll begin putting my list together for next year. So be good for your parents. Study hard in school. Be nice to all your friends. Be kind to all. Remember that Christmas is not about getting presents, but giving of yourself to others and helping to spread the Christmas spirit all year long.
