Autism awareness day: Dr. Nelson Mane' is nominated by ICARE4AUTISM for an autism impact award

Autism has become an indisputable epidemic in the United States and around the world. The effects of autism in a family can be devastating and far reaching.

The positive note to this otherwise bleak picture is that heroes have been made and abound as a result. One such hero in the search for a solution to some of the effects of autism spectrum disorders is Dr. Nelson Mane of The Mane Center in Tampa Florida, www.HitAutism.com.

Dr. Mane is also a regular contributor to the online publication, The Omni Intelligencer.

We are delighted to share the following press release which was issued a few days ago which briefly describes the Dr.’s work:

“WORLD AUTISM DAY APPROACHES 4/2/2010 … AUTISM COMMUNITY IS UNDER IDENTIFIED AND UNDER SERVED … LATEST STUDY SUGGESTS…

Tampa , FL , March 31st, 2010

More than half of the Autism Community is in this situation according to the study!  Do we bow our heads in disgrace over this dire situation?  “NO! NO! and NO!” says, Dr. Nelson Mane ’, who treats many children on the autism spectrum.  “On the contrary, this study should serve as excellent motivation that we need to work harder to get the word out about autism.”

Dr. Nelson Mane says, “In our Tampa Autism Support Group, month after month we see new members who say that they just don't know where to go or what to do. Some do not even know what their child's diagnosis is, and many are lost and do not even know where to begin.

Our growing group of concerned parents is a force for positive changein this regard with ones who are willing to guide others through the processes, by suggesting local and state resources, as well as helping them with advice regarding things such as education, as well as advice regarding testing and treatment.”

Dr. Nelson Mane has been recently nominated by ICARE4AUTISM for an autism impact award, and is host to the local Tampa Autism Support and Play Groups. www.hitautism.net
