Last year, members of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) learned that the author of a critical study on diesel engine soot impacts, Hien Tran, had falsified his academic credentials. Tran admitted the deception, and accepted a Board demotion. However, Tran’s analyses remained the basis for highly controversial and costly regulations imposed upon operators of trucks, buses and other diesel-powered machinery.
The Tran study concluded that diesel "particulate matter" (soot) was responsible for about 1,000 additional deaths each year. Tens of millions of dollars in engine upgrades will by required of California diesel operators under the new regulations.

his credentials fraud to the Board prior to adopting the new regulations not only casts doubt on the legitimacy of the diesel rules, but also upon the legitimacy of CARB itself.
List week’s release of the U.K. Hadley Climate Research Unit computer files suggests that world-renowned climate scientists committed fraud in manipulating computer climate modeling data, terminology and research reports to promote the critical global warming theory that manmade greenhouse gases are warming the planet.
California deserves to have science fraud in its government, such as Tran, rooted out. It’s clear among these recent science frauds that partisan ideologies and cultish environmentalism have corrupted environmental science and policy. What is also clear is that environmentalism no longer offers any product or service in support of our future security and prosperity.

Many have tried to mitigate the damage of the Climategate documents by implying it is much ado about nothing - i.e. "move along, folks, nothing to see here."
However, no one in the "Global Warming" group appears to have been asking this one critical question. If the climate science and data models show "unequivocally" that global warming is a truth, then WHY did the East Anglia CRU spend so much time:
a) obstructing the UK Freedom of Information Act
b) destroying and manipulating data
c) subverting the peer review process
d) persecuting dissenting scientists
e) intimidating science journal editors
f) instructing programmers to build models with foregone conclusions
The only answer can be that their science was not solid enough on its own. Why else would you need to strong arm the process? To manufacture a concensus?

The release of these emails has exposed the operational methods of global environmental socialism. They will do whatever is necessary to complete the agenda, which we now know includes fraudulent science. All government public policy programs relying on IPCC data must be frozen immediately, that includes CA. We also must challenge and shout down the deniers. We then must vote these non american socialist democrats who bought into this hoax out of office in the next elections.

And, in spite of the CARB study being exposed as a fraud, California is STILL going ahead with the regulations that was based on that phony study starting January 1, 2010. Expect a shortage AND massive price hikes on almost EVERY product sold within the state of california.

M. Mann is a victim of his own poor judgment.. Free and fancy telling people what they wanna hear and expecting the powers that be to protect him was his mistake.. Even day his friends list grows smaller.. He will be cut loose very soon.. Al Gore will join Neville Chamberlain.. Talk about a select club..
CARB itself is a fraud. If this guy falsified his credentials, and they didn't FIRE his ass, then they have no credibility at all.
