Creating an Eco-Friendly Versailles

As a sucker for the opulence of Versaille and anything to do with Marie Antoinette, I love the style of a damask pattern. While I imagine Antoinette’s damask paradise was anything but eco-friendly, my search for modern, green, damask-patterned items has turned up some truly beautiful things.

Floc Designs Pocket Flops are foldable flip flops made with 95% recycled tire rubber. Every pair comes in a carrying case made of either recycled or organic fabric. Their durability and thin design make them ideal for yoga bags, purses and backpacks. Stash one of these three damask pattern styles in your purse, glove compartment, backpack, or anywhere you might need them.

In 2 Green Eco’s Damask throw is made with ECO2cotton. The cotton yarns are made from pre-consumer clippings that are salvaged from large cut and sew manufacturers. These clippings are sorted by color, then blended. Small amounts of acrylic or other eco fibers are often added to the yarn blend for performance or softness.

Joyababy is a haven for lux, damask-patterend eco-friendly baby gear. Products include a PVC-free 2-1 reversible bib for baby’s mealtime
