Selling on eBay can be rewarding and frustrating at the same time. Many times, you may have a question, but no one to ask for help. Getting through to eBay help on the phone is a challenge, and live eBay help isn't always helpful. Unfortunately, the eBay employees who offer live help or phone help are not actually sellers, may not have any selling experience, and are just reading a screen with pre-written answers. Below is a list of where to go on the internet when you need help with an eBay issue but don't want to pay an expert for her time.
First, check the eBay help section. Type in the key words of what you need to know. You can often find your answer there on the first try.
Join eBay groups on Facebook. Some groups have thousands of members who are happy to share what they know. Avoid groups with high drama and gossip, they are a waste of time. One of the most helpful groups is Stay at Home Moms Selling on eBay.
Check on Twitter. Post your question in 142 characters or less. Some great eBayers on Twitter who will actually answer you are: Katskloset, mommytoaaj, auntieem, and attheboutique. I'll answer you, too, and my Twitter ID is eBaycoach.
Join eBay groups on Yahoo Groups. There are over 7,000 eBay groups on Yahoo Groups. Take some time and join the groups with the most members and the most activity. Groups with a lot of activity mean that members are checking the boards regularly and your question is more likely to be seen quickly. Again, avoid groups with high drama, complaining, and negativity. Find groups that have upbeat positive members who are good for your morale.
Try groups and the discussion forums on the eBay site itself. You will find these under eBay Community. Use caution as many of these groups are territorial and don't like new members.
