eBay power seller logo no longer permitted

Say goodbye to the power seller logo and status. It won't do much for you anymore in the world of eBay.

Part of the big announcement regarding eBay's fee changes is a section about how eBay sellers can no longer use the power seller logo or refer to themselves as being power sellers. If you have a power seller logo embedded in your listings, on your About Me page, as part of an image, or in any other shape or from on your eBay "stuff," now is the time to remove it. It seems that eBay is moving away from the power seller title and they do not want buyers to be confused with the titles "Top Rated Seller" and "Power Seller."

The removal of this badge of honor may not be easy. I have a client with over 4,000 listings and she has the power seller logo included in her customized templates. There is not a way to make a global change to listings with a customized template. She has to hire some help to work through all of her listings to remove the image and the text explaining her power seller status.

Stay tuned for more details regarding the big changes coming in March. For more tips and resources for eBay selling, visit the eBay Coach Blog and eBay Coach YouTube video tutorials.

Actually there is a pretty simple way to change it if you have a custom template and the logo is saved someplace like photobucket. Simply delete the photobucket file, then replace it with a new image (like the top rated seller one) and keep the name the same. BINGO...all the listings will have the new logo.

    Joan,

Except when inserted automatically by eBay, you're not allowed to reproduce the TRS badge either.
