A look at the new eBay Radio show

Last week on eBay radio Griff made some big announcements.  Here are the bullet points you need to know to listen to eBay radio this week and what changes are coming:

First, it appears that eBay Radio and wSRadio are parting ways.

The shows, eBay Radio, Ask Griff, eBay Radio PowerSeller Hour and eBay Town Halls will still air at the same tine.

Lee is leaving WSRadio and will continue to co-host the eBay radio programs as she launched with two partners eBroadcast studios L.L.C..

Calls from listeners will be returning as well as a renamed chat board along with contests with prizes.

Features to look forward to:

OMG listing of the week. A listing on eBay that will make you say OMG - Oh My Goodness - submissions from listeners are welcomed.

One liners from listeners about their eBay experience.

More "ordinary people" on the show sharing their eBay stories.

I was included with a very small number of others to test the streaming of the new show last Friday.  I can tell you the flash player is awesome - it worked fin in IE 7, Firefox, GoogleChrome and AOL 9.1, the sound quality is great, the new music is very cool.  There is a slightly longer delay of the time the show leaves the studio to when you hear it on the air however they are working on improving this.

The audio will also be streamed via MP3, but the better player is the Flash player.  During the tests it was reported that there is a world of difference - the Flash player was compared to HD vs. the MP3 which is not HD quality.

Old archives of both the eBay radio programs and Town halls will remain on the WSRadio website.

And don't worry - the eBay Radio party that is scheduled for next June is still scheduled!
