Watch twisted images un-morph into ferocious dinosaurs!
About the Toys with Imagination Series: Throughout September, toys that require lots of pretend play, vast imagination and little technology will be featured.
There are no batteries required when your child's imagination runs wild with OOZ & OZ's inventive Morph-O-Scopes!
Your child can color one of many cool "morphed" designs, from dinosaurs and pets to princesses and fairies. The catch is that your child has to look at the image reflected in the anamorphoscope mirror devise in order to know what he or she is coloring... what fun!
Myrna Hoffman invented Morph-O-Scopes in 1989 as a unique coloring activity at her daughter's seventh birthday party. Today, she is still entertaining children with her invention - only it's children across the country enjoying the product now!
We put the Distorted Dinos packet to the test with my almost five year old son. After a little explaining, he was off and coloring these wonderfully imaginative pictures. He could then see the colored image reflected in the anamorphoscope mirror. "Whoa, this is cool," he said as he described the ferocious dinosaur reflected back at him via the anamorphoscope mirror.
Morph-O-Scopes is probably best suited for children 5 and up - as older children are better able to color the image while looking at it in the anamorphoscope mirror. That said, Morph-O-Scopes made for a great family activity. I must admit, I enjoyed the challenge of coloring my own distorted dinosaur just as much as my son enjoyed watching me do it!
You can purchase entire kits, which include 32 coloring sheets, 2 mirror decoders, 16 crayons and an awesome carrying case, or packets that come with five sheets and 1 mirror decorder. Check out the full selection of kits, packets and party sets at www.OozandOz.com.

this is interesting...back in 1981 Mitsumasso Anno did an ABC book using a cylider mirror to read the letters. It's called Anno's Magical ABC: An Anamorphic Aplphabet. 5 year olds loved it!
