Baby food is much more complicated than I thought it was before becoming a mom. There are so many choices from making your own to buying in jars, plastic containers and even frozen. The good news, there's lots of great choices out there to help satisfy your baby.
Jack's Harvest organic baby foods are among the preferred foods of my new little eater - 5 month old Callum. His absolute hands down favorite: Jack's What a Pear with a Dash of Cinnamon! While he'll eat bites of other things if he's in the mood, he scarfed down two portions of Jack's pears yesterday. I snuck a taste myself and they were quite good!
All of Jack's Harvest baby foods are made from organic foods bought at farmer's markets and cooked up in a certified organic kitchen by none other than Jack's Mom herself - Heather. (More on Heather's thoughts on baby food HERE.) They come in single serving sized frozen hearts (see photo). (A nice touch!) Just pop one in a ceramic mug for 30 seconds in the microwave, stir, test the temperature to make sure its perfect before feeding. Then serve up.
We've also tried their More Peas Please with a Hint of Mint and Lip-Smacking Sweet Potatoes with a dash of Cinnamon and Vanilla. Callum also approved these to be in his food repertoire but not in the amount of those pears. By the way, he does like the Earth's Best First Pears as well, but not near as much as he like's Jack's. He only cares for Jack's peas but no other brands of those so far.
Remember, baby food is a journey. Babies may hate one type of food one day and love it the next... or they may love it if you feed them while holding them but not in the high chair. Sometimes it's the spoon, their mood or even the look on your face that can make all the difference. Read more about baby food advice from the experts HERE.
