The perfect gift for a mom. That is a hard one. She works so hard for her family but sometimes doesn't feel appreciated. Make this Christmas special with some of these ideas for gifts. Part one is stuff moms can wear or use. Part two has ideas to help moms relax. For more ideas, check out my gift guide for new parents and gifts for pregnant moms.
My favorite thing to help me relax right now are Abrione’s Chakra Masques. They come in a tube with little containers of different color masks that correspond to different chakras. You put them all out in front of you and pick the color that calls to you. That one, the instructions say, is the one you need that day because it is that chakra that needs to be balanced. It may sound weird, but I feel like it really works. They're really relaxing and they bring a nice glow to your skin too. Read about each chakra HERE.
Abrione' also makes a Lavender Magical Scrub that melts by applying their Shea Butter Body Lotion. They smell good and also bring much needed sense of relaxation and relief.
Another refreshing and relaxing option for moms - Carey & Co. INGREDIENTS Citrus & Spice moisturizing scrub. It smells good and feels good. But watch out, because my husband steals this all of the time. You may need one for mom and dad.
Olive Sandwiches' "Sassy Bath" Bath Salts are sure to bring a little chuckle when moms read their names, like "I child-proofed the house but they keep getting back in" and"Insanity is hereditary... You get it from your kids!" And they're soothing in the bath too.
Philip Kingsley Jet Set packs are high quality hair products that leave your hair looking great in a nice stocking stuffer size. I love how clean and soft my hair feels using these.
Eye Slices are basically high tech cucumbers to relax and revitalize your eye area. You keep them in the fridge and put them on, sit back and chill. It works!
One With Nature makes natural soaps and body gels with Dead Sea salts and mud that relax muscles and stimulate circulation. They smell good and feel clean and refreshing.
The Anywhere, Anytime Chill Guide: 77 Simple Strategies for Serenity is a book filled with simple ideas for relaxing in perfect mom-length snippets. Moms may not have much time, but this book has short and sweet entries to help her chill whenever and wherever. You can take a look inside the book HERE.
The Green Beauty Guide book is filled with green recipes and tips for choosing green beauty products. Mom can make her own eco-friendly, relaxing products at home, which can be fun and relaxing in itself. Read an excerpt HERE.
Buy mom a massage! This is always a favorite gift of mine. This is a great gift that will be relaxing as well as bring relief. I recommend trying your local Aveda salon because they use natural, great smelling products.
Or for a massage whenever mom wants it - try the Homedics Shiatsu Massage Pillow. I love this pillow, though it's not for sleeping! Instead you can turn on the heat and the relief with this baby rubbing your tired shoulders, feet, and everything else. It comes with a warning to not use more than 20 minutes at once to avoid over-stimulation but you'll want to 'cause it feels GOOD!
