KCK One-One Size Fits All Diaper
This is a part of a new series of stories called Diaper Diaries - The Diaper Challenge that explores cloth diapering, which is gaining in popularity everyday. (Read the rest of the articles in this series HERE.)
I challenged diaper companies small and large to send me their best diaper to test out. I will be reporting my findings about each diaper individually as well as comparing and contrasting them later in this series. Each diaper has been tested for about a month by both my one year old and 2.5 year old girls.

In the KCK One, I tried the One-Size PUL Basic Waterproof Diaper in light lavender. It retails for $17.95. Like the Fuzzi Bunz and BumGenius, they do not need an additional cover.
The KCK One was designed by a mom who then sells the pattern and rights to the name to 15 licensees who make the diapers and sell them. They're truly a work at home mom made in the USA product. Buying them helps support small mom businesses. Because of this method, there are lots of different material options, even some super cute diapers with ruffles for girly girls. Those cost an extra dollar. You can also buy the KCK One in a diaper kit so you can sew your own diaper pretty easily and for less money.
In addition to the basic one-size that I tried, KCK One also makes fitteds, one size diaper covers, and one size swim diapers all based on the same design.
KCK Ones have an original opening point on a pocket diaper... it is in the front instead of the back. The inserts are unique as well. They come with basically a microfiber towel, which makes for quicker drying. But it is harder to stuff because its harder to get the towel to lie flat. If the towel is not in the diaper properly it can leak but if you insert it properly, there's no problems. You can use any insert of your choosing with the KCK One one-size diapers.
The inner lining of the KCK One is very soft and in general keeps moisture off of baby. Though like the other cloth diapers I've reviewed so far, I don't ever use the KCK One for overnights. Even with two inserts stuffed inside my girls both would soak them so much that they felt wet to the touch and that wakes them up.
There are several ways to put on the KCK Ones, which are best explained in a video demonstration:
I used the KCK One on the largest setting without folding over the top. I found the diaper seemed too bulky using the fold down method. But it is a good option if you want to buy a diap that takes you from tiny newborn to toddler.

Comments
I have been making diapers for about six months for friends and family, I am now selling them on Etsy.com. I was wondering if you would try one of mine, not for an article, but just so I would know how I stack up against the best. I love my diaper and I want it to be the best it can be. I thought you might be able to give me some good comparisons. I know you are very busy and I am not sure if this article was written this year, so your diaper testers might have out grown them. Thanks,
