The Granola Nanny and the Green Housekeeper

The Green and Granola Domestics Agency is set to open its doors on July 1, 2009.  The aim of the agency is to help parents in Los Angeles who lead a natural lifestyle to find household helpers who can support that lifestyle.

The agency will offer its first free seminar on the Granola Lifestyle on Sunday, June 28, 2009, from 11:00am  to 2:00pm, at Shane's Inspiration in Griffith Park.

"This business actually started as a free referral service:  I started my own web site to find work as a nanny, and got too many requests for work.  There were too many requests for me to handle alone, so I decided to buddy up with a friend and start an agency, " says the agency's co-founder, Kristen Crain, pictured to the right. 

All nannies placed by the agency will be educated on subjects such as attachment parenting, positive discipline, recycling, composting, healthy communication, and other such aspects of the "Granola Lifestyle".  

"Parents are also invited to all training sessions, which will take place every other Sunday, so that they may learn about the "Granola Lifestyle" and also learn about our company, which offers placements for fees, which are lower than the average for this area" says Kristen.

The agency will also place housekeepers who use non-toxic cleaning supplies and natural housekeeping techniques.
