Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing three editions of Angels & Demons starring Tom Hanks. The single-disc version will include the theatrical version of the film along with a few featurettes as special features (see full specs below). The two-disc edition will have the extended version of the film along with all of the special features on the single-disc plus more. The Blu-ray version of Angels & Demons will include both, the theatrical and extended versions of the film, plus all the special features on the single-disc and two-disc editions, along with an exclusive "Path of Illumination" feature and a digital copy of the extended version. All three versions will be coming to stores on November 24!
Even though a lot of history is "bent" to create the stories of The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons I still found both films to be a lot of fun and the latter really stepped up its game from the first one. Tom Hanks is just as good as we have all come to expect him to be and the story is a lot of fun and interesting. Of course, just like as in The Da Vinci Code, there is a lot of suspension of belief required to thoroughly enjoy this film but it's great fun none-the-less!
