The drug war

Marijuana is a life and death issue for your children. Drug use is not a game! Users are thoroughly out of control! Their myopic mindset sees only it’s hedonistic desire. They have come to hate law enforcement, those who respect it and would bring about the end of civilized society if let be.

The man in the White House has appointed a Drug Czar who has put an end now to another “phrase”, the War on Drugs! In his political correctness, he says that people perceive it to be a war on our own people. I contend that no one but the user sees the “War on Drugs” as a war on people! It is a war and needs to be treated as such!

The responses I receive, wanting all drugs to be legal are accusatory, they exhibit hate, anger, the offensive and obscene. Many are even crass - vile comments toward me and my family. The user mindset does not understand freedom, for freedom only survives and thrives with responsible behavior. I’ve deleted only a couple of the comments – ones no one should have to read but reading the rest, anyone can see the lack of common decency, . . . the lack of respect for us all!

Over the quarter century I’ve been involved in this battle, my property has been vandalized numerous times; I’ve been assaulted (one, a friend and I both take as an attempt on my life). The threats terrorizing my family have been constant. Again, this is NO game! I no longer present myself as a target. This is not just “drug warriors” (as they call us) they’re angry at, . . . . it’s all of society.

Now in case you do not yet know how I feel and why, let me point out that marijuana users are targeting your children! Look at these books.

The same deep pockets guy that bankrolls the ballot measures to legalize “medicinal” marijuana across the nation, admits in his book “Soros on Soros: Staying Ahead Of The Curve” that he wants to control the distribution network of now illicit drugs. They are illicit because they threaten the very fabric of society!

He also financed this little children’s book - - - for parents, useful in “teaching” children that pot is not harmful, that “It’s Only A Plant”.

Next, look at the products for sale. These photos show that there is a total disregard for our children’s safety. These candies, and sodas (though only slightly?) disguised, whether consumed intentionally or not, are dangerous to our children. I suppose users would claim they have to be disguised to keep them from going to prison? There’s always some excuse for those in denial.

These photos came from the DEA website. They're laced with drugs from marijuana to heroin. Though it’s easy to see the disregard for the law in these photos, remember, the same mindset exists for marijuana, as for heroin; users want their drugs without the danger of incarceration. And don’t forget, they have stated in their own publications and in the videos we link to that
1) they want all drugs legalized and
2) that in the compassion for the seriously ill and dying, marijuana is just the spearhead, meant to break down the resistance to legalization – the legalizers state that they have found the “Chink” in the armor . . . . I believe, meaning “compassion” toward the seriously and terminally ill will lead to full access to illicit drugs.

The soda bottles look so close to Jones, I couldn't tell the difference; there are a lot more of candy, I didn't put up; I will.

Next if you've not done so, watch our videos:
Trojan Horse:

Chink in the Armor:

Legalization of all drugs:

Making a mockery of medicinal marijuana:  (notice how he corrects himself in his last sentence . . . . he’s not talking just about medicinal pot . . . I think he’s talking of all drugs)

Changing the Face of Marijuana: (Notice how Peron almost says he's "created an illusion", but rephrases it!

    Hi again John,

You are so confused. Why should people be upset that you advocate a police/prison state? Why would people DARE to insult you only because you support the arrest, imprisonment, and labeling of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS who have done absolutely NOTHING to YOU?

You don't want to smoke pot, fine. You want to tell you kids that pot is no good for them, FINE. So you want to spout you clearly controversial propaganda EVERYDAY despite the overwhelming evidence against you accusations, and overwhelming opposition to your opinions, not just here but across the country? FINE.

What you should NOT do is support the arrest, conviction and incarceration of adults who smoke pot by choice, are INTELLIGENT, CLEAN LIVING, RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE who hold down JOBS and PAY THEIR BILLS. What I do in my house and in my bedroom is NONE OF THE STATE'S OR YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.

Is that too hateful for you? You're the one spreading lies, hate and fear. You should be ASHAMED!

Is the psychological mind of the locksmith different than other people. The job of a locksmith can be dangerous and stressful. It's a pattern of life that involves a wide range: keeping people out, keeping things within safe, helping people in stressful "lock out" situations, security locks and many more challenges in an honorable career.

It is my observation that John is offering a cannabis war discussion related to his natural inclination to be the eternal locksmith at war. He probably thinks in terms of war to key difficult locks.

This is gallant on one hand because he cares and we all need to keep a balance in life. On the other hand cannabis is part of life in the world and the war approach he uses is not working. The "locksmith cannabis war" approach relies on disputed data, fear and insecurity.

The world is ready for safe & informed cannabis solutions. People have choices.

War is insanity and an unsafe addiction. Safe cannabis consumption is a wise alternative.

You keep talking about the kids john English! But you have clearly never taken the time to have a honest talk with any kids cause you seem to have a lot of trouble excepting the fact, CANNABIS IS FAR MORE EASY FOR KIDS TO BUY THAN ALCOHOL! Prohibition is the REASON the US have one of the highest rates of cannabis use among young people in the WORLD. Holland only has half the amount of cannabis smokers as the US and people over the age of 18 can LEGALLY purchase it there from coffee shops. Why? Firstly it's being sold legally over the counter (to adults) and not illegally in the school yard, which gives young people time to breath before having it shoved in there faces all the time. Also it's the forrbidden fruit factor. Truth be known, most young people would find cannabis boring if it was legal. I mean, it makes you tired and hungray. But if your happy with a billion dollar industry being run by teenagers and criminals, fine. But your no better than the dealer him self!

Now according to several recent polls over 40% of the voting aged public in this country are for legalizing marijuana. Most of us do not smoke marijuana. I smoked it when I was younger but it has been years since I last did it. I don't care for it. I'm a busy man. I'll drink a beer on occasion but that's about it. What makes me angry is that I've been watching us do far more harm than good now for decades with our marijuana policies and I'm sick of it. The ban on marijuana is causing every problem Alcohol Prohibition caused and then some, and it is not doing a lick of good. Pot is cheap, easy to find everywhere in this country, and most people who grew up since it became popular have tried it. We aren't stopping anything with our laws. The government would have a lot more control over marijuana if we regulated the industry. Use won't go up that much and in time we might even see use drop like it has for cigarettes over the past several decades.

It's as wrong to send hateful e-mails to someone who supports the War on Drugs as it is to persecute those who oppose it.
The bottom line is, once someone turns 18, I think it should be up to them whether they want to smoke pot. It's pretty clear by now that its harmful effects are akin, and possibly, less than that of alcohol and tobacco, both legal drugs (well, I'm sure the health nuts will outlaw tobacco soon). I don't understand why it's so hard for the drug war crowd to get it -- some people like to smoke pot, and if they don't rob you or attack you, why is it a problem for you? Every kid will have to make a choice for themselves eventually, whether to drink or smoke, and I for one am tired of my taxes being wasted on a massive apparatus of enforcement designed to replace our free will.

    John,

back to the same bull as he always is. His articles are at least sarcastic, if not pathetic. I think at the moment, John is deathly afraid that marijuana will ruin this country is made legal. Well Johnny English, the drug dealers who also deal meth, crack, heroin, and ecstasy are the ones who ruin it.

I know you would be in favor of U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk's bill to mandate 25 years sentence for selling marijuana that has a 15% THC content or greater.

I don't hate you John, but you're truly the hate monger here on this issue.

And lastly, John I truly think you are a nice guy. Probably stuck on a broom stick (in you rear-end) from the police department you retired from. I think you are the MINORITY in the issue of legalization.

Face it, parents be parents and don't buy alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana once legal for teenagers. John, keep writing your articles so people can bash them. IT'S HILARIOUS!

I love you John. Thanks for writing all of these articles. You truly are a "drug warrior" fighting for the honor of America.
We must rid ourselves of all drugs! Caffeine must go. I have read that people have died from caffeine overdose and that auditory hallucinations are possible with excessive caffeine consumption.
Viagra and all erectile dysfunction medication must be eliminated. Those performance enhancing drugs are destroying the fabric of our society.
Finally alcohol and tobacco must be outlawed and punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment if found with high quality or excessive product.
Fight the war on drugs! Spend federal and local budgets on police overtime focused on low level offenders.

What does the US have to show for fighting the drug war? What benefits did we gain from the Drug War that exceeds what we could have gained from funding healthcare initiatives, education, or the military?

Widespread understanding of Alcohol Prohibition's futility and of its ugly, unintended side-effects made it easier for Congress to repeal the 18th Amendment. But public sentiment was insufficient on it's own to end the war on alcohol; ending it required a gargantuan negative revenue shock to the U.S. Treasury. That shock was the great crash of 1926 -which happened during alcohol prohibition 1919-1933. You don't nead a PhD to follow this; If you can't see the obvious correlation between the present economic mess and drug prohibition, then you must have your head in something really dark & dense John.

None of these substances are any more dangerous than alcohol or nicotine, and if they are then that is all the more reason to take them out of the hands of criminals and terrorists by regulating them just like alcohol and nicotine.

Instead of attempting to nullify the immutable laws of supply and demand, wake up, wise up and face facts John!

"...let me point out that marijuana users are targeting your children! Look at these books."

Anytime I see someone hiding behind a wall of children, I know a totalitarian oriented jesture is at work. Gun control freaks do it; radical environmentalists do it; abortion activists do it; anti-abortion activists do it. Everybody with an axe to grind hides behind a wall of children. legalization (of at least marijuana) is coming. It may be a few years down the road, but there is an incredible momentum building John English. It is going to break right through your fortified wall of children, and then mow you over. There ain't nothing you can do to stop it.

There is something very interesting happening whenever someone writes an article about the drug war...either pro or con. Generally, internet posting draws out the most passionate people on either side of an issue who then bicker and fight. With articles about the drug war or legalization; there is very little fighting. That is because postings in favor of legalization are about ninety percent of the posts. There just aren't that many people who support the drug war.

A guy like John English is a dinosaur in his views. He can't pull his head out of his fourth point to contact (where the smell is rather nasty) to feel the winds of change that are blowing right past his buried head.

Even in an article that is pro-drug war, and presumably has readers that sympathize with English' position; he can't get people coming out to support him in these posts. Not a single poster has come out for you John. End the War on drugs! Legalize!

  • Jane 2 years ago

Sean, I can tell you why posters support legalization. It is because articles on marijuana draw pro-marijuana advocates. Those who are against are not obsessed with marijuana. They are doing other things with their lives. Like me, before my kid got addicted to marijuana and jeopardized his health and his future. He could have had the world, but now he is a one-dimensional robot who sits around stoned all day living off me like a leech. And no matter what I've tried, he refuses to stop. It's really hard to lose your kid to pot, but the only choice I have left is to kick him out. And people don't get it. They would understand if it were cocaine or heroin, but yeah, it's only pot. It's a subtle, but in the end, devastating addiction.

Jane - I genuinely feel sorry for the status of your child. I am a father of two, and can only imagine the pain a parent feels at such a condition. There are plenty of people who do very well in life who smoke marijuana. I enjoy it, and am working on a masters degree in applied mathematics...I also do enjoy LSD and magic mushrooms. I own a home, pay my mortgage and am a good neighbor. There is a web site called the "shroomery" for example, and I came to find out that many of the users on that site are amazing mathematicians...and are very bright, and successful.

All of that is neither here nor there. Neither the sad experience of your son, my success in life; or the brainiacs on the Shroomery are scientific studies proving that marijuana "addiction" is bad or good.

My feeling is that prohibition of drugs is useless. That you are the only poster today who is sympathetic to Mr. English is proof that the drug war is falling increasingly out of favor with Americans in general.

    Jane,
    Correlation does not equal causation.
In other words, just because your son is a lazy leech, that doesn't mean pot smoking is the cause. I know lots of hard working, responsible adults who enjoy a relaxing smoke after work. Some are of retirement age, and a lifetime of pot smoking has done them no harm.
Chances are, your son would be just as lazy and worthless if he didn't smoke weed.

On the surface, this is actually funny...and certainly not to be taken seriously. Man, you sound like the dire voice of a 1950's era broadcaster...maybe the maker's of the propaganda rag "Reefer Madness" should release a current update of their film...with John English reading that first paragraph as an entree to the film.

If it is of any comfort to you John, I am currently struggling with a proof in my abstract mathematics class, and have to prove that the square root of five is irrational. Your goofy writing is bringing me joy whenever I think of that first paragraph. Hmm, I think I'll go have another bong hit to make it even funnier.

Um, just one other thing, John. You do realize, of course, that by continuing to support the "War on America" (oops, I meant the "War on Drugs", it's same thing), that you are taking the same EXACT position as the drug dealers and cartels, right? They want to continue to keep marijuana illegal so that they can continue to make obscene profits, and have the ability to sell their goods to ALL Americans, including kids. You DO understand that, yes?

So, as long as marijuana continues to be illegal, the kids you are soooo concerned about will CONTINUE to have virtually UNLIMITED ACCESS to it. Is that what you want, John? I thought you wanted to HELP the kids? Or is it that the arrest of hundreds of thousands of casual users a year, ruiing their lives, forfeting their property, and becoming felons is more in line with what your goals REALLY are?

Continue to ignore the facts John. Continue on with your Drug Warrior propaganda, by all means. We'll continue to call you out.

Unbelievably there are still people - not very cleaver ones mind you - who think that prohibition means regulation.

But this of course is not true, not even in the slightest.

Who, now, controls the purity? : Terrorists, Cartels, The Mob and the street punks
Who sets the age limits? : " "
Who decides the opening hours? : " "
Who settles the trade disputes? : " "
And who gets to keep all of the profits? : " "

You can do all the wishful thinking you like John, but there's one fact that's chiseled in the concrete where some of the victims of this moronathon are hidden : Prohibition is not regulation, it's is a hideous nightmare for all of us and our families, except of course for the lowest lifeforms amongst us.

For all our sakes John, please develop a conscience or switch your brain on or something!

The real reason there are 90% posts from legalizers is they are paid to go around blogging. That is their job, plain and simple. The big money backing pays bloggers to blog. So its not that society doesn't care about the drug issue, we just have jobs, children, lives that keep us from blogging all day long.

Thank you John for being our voice.

Go figure. And Sean, you are wasting your time; I have tried for YEARS to get a logical explanation from prohibitionists. What I would ask is as follows: Following the current logic behind U.S. drug policy, i.e. to keep dangerous substances away from the populace, shouldn't you be championing the prohibition of the most dangerous and addictive substance known to mankind? And that is tobacco? There is always silence from their end Sean; in this case the silence is golden. And John [English] it is apparent you read these comments. Dont you think that not legalizing marijuana is also a target to children? At least if it were legalized that a child under 18 or 21 couldn't buy the drug. Drug dealers don't check the ID of children trying to buy pot, they will sell to anyone who has money. It is clearly easier for someone under 21 to buy marijuana than it is to buy alcohol because they have no one stopping them from buying it.
