Demand Obama Immediately Legalize untaxed, unregulated "Marijuana Self Cultivation"
Saturday November 21st, 2009
Click here for more information on attending and planning a demonstration
Demand that Obama Implement MERP immediately as a matter of National Security. This is the only policy that is guaranteed to destroy the Mexican Drug Cartels immediately and without another dime of American "Blood or Treasure" wasted on this senseless War on Marijuana Consumers. It might just transform the US Economy.
=======================================
This article describes a strategy to completely Re-Legalize the unlimited, untaxed, unregulated self cultivation of Marijuana by all adults over the age of 18. It is supported by a majority of Americans and will not cost the American taxpayer a single dime. It calls for local mass demonstrations, across the country, to demand that Obama convene a Special Session of Congress to immediately Re-Legalize Marijuana under the MERP Model. This will immediately put an end to the Mexican Drug Cartels and will also pave the way for a Renaissance in the Agricultural and Industrial products that can be made with hemp.

Introduction
We have to force Obama to immediately Re-Legalize Marijuana under the MERP Model. The benefits of legalizing the unlimited, untaxed, unregulated would occur immediately after we force a Special Session of Congress to "Legalize It" just like they forced us to accept the TARP bailout which was rejected by 80% of American Citizens. But, in this case Marijuana Legalization is supported by at least 52% of American Citizens and, as a matter of National Security, it needs to be implemented immediately.
Are you going to allow Obama to "Just Say No" to the American People on the issue of Marijuana Legalization. Just begin by watching this video. If you are as pissed of as I am, by listening to this idiot President say he is not going to Legalize Marijuana then set up a protest or plan on attending one on November 21st, 2008. We can afford to wait no longer.
Obama: "$77 Billion A Year From Hemp Won't Help Economy!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jASjTJ8ttg
* 44 Billion saved by not spending for Police Arrests, Judges, Attorneys, Court Costs etc. for trails, prison guards, prisons etc. for incarcerations.
* 27 Billion saved by keeping the money that Mexican Drug Cartels send back to Mexico each year. Instead the money would stay in the United States creating jobs and generating revenue without the need for taxation or regulation.
* I think this Harvard Economics Professor is absolutely wrong in attempting to generate anything from "tax and regulation." It cost to much to administrate and would only make it more difficult for the sick to obtain what should be a "universally free medicine" should they decide to simply "grow their own."
My name is Bruce Cain. In the early 90's I organized the first International Protests against Marijuana Prohibition. In 2000 Dana Beal resurrected this idea through the Global Marijuana Marches that grow bigger with each passing year. I am calling for a National Protest, on Saturday November 21st, 2009, so that future Marijuana events are not organized to call for Re-Legalization but rather to celebrate our complete victory over the War on Marijuana Consumers.
This article describes a strategy to completely Re-Legalize the unlimited, untaxed, unregulated self cultivation of Marijuana by all adults over the age of 18. This "Self Cultivation" Model for Marijuana Re-Legalization is also know as the "MERP Model." To learn why this is the most optimum model for Re-Legalizing Marijuana I encourage you to read the many article and view the numerous videos that are available at the following link:

The Marijuana Re-Legalization Policy Project (MRPP) = "MERP"
http://www.newagecitizen.com/MERP.htm
When I began attending Michigan State University in the fall of 1972 Professors openly smoked Marijuana in the class room with their students. On Saturday's the Resident Assistants would remind the students to hide their Marijuana Plants, from their dorm windows, so their parents wouldn't see them when they came to visit on Sundays. By this metric alone it is hard to argue that we have made much progress toward Marijuana Re-Legalization in the last 40 years. But one thing has changed. A majority of Americans now support the complete Re-Legalization of Marijuana. Back then legalization was only supported by the young. Now it is supported by all generations. So in this article I am laying out a specific plan and strategy to completely Re-Legalize Marijuana "Self Cultivation."
We have a number of problems right now
One problem is that our "dope smoking" President Obama believes that what was good for him is not acceptable for other adults. His drug Czar "Killer Cow Pie" still maintains that Marijuana is a dangerous drug. What a load of crap. We want the immediate inalienable right to "grow our own" Marijuana for free. The last thing we want to do is buy it from the government at $300 to $500 an ounce.
"Marijuana use is not a harmless substance. But this fact is precisely why its commercial production and distribution ought to be controlled and regulated."
NORML founder Keith Stroup
Can you believe that the founder of NORML would actually say Marijuana is not harmless?
Another problem is that NORML, DPA and MPP are not really in favor of you and I being able to grow our own Marijuana. They want the government to "tax and regulate it." You say you need some proof? Here is what NORML founder Kevin Stroup recently said about Marijuana:
"Marijuana use is not a harmless substance. But this fact is precisely why its commercial production and distribution ought to be controlled and regulated."
NORML founder Keith Stroup
http://www.mikecann.net/2009/10/keith-stroup-founder-of-norml-and.html
You are dead wrong Keith Stroup of NORML. Marijuana is harmless, relative to just about any prescription drug you might want to mention. And neither personal nor agricultural or industrial production really needs much regulation. And frankly, as long as we can grow all we want for free we really don't care what you do about commercial production. Once we take all the profit out of it, their won't be much money in it anyway. Just don't tread on my inalienable right to grow all the Marijuana I want.
Plus no one really trusts the government anymore. So why give the same government, that has been busting us for over 72 years, the right to control an herb that was given freely to all of humanity? Frankly, I can't think of a single reason I would want my government to become my Marijuana Drug Dealer. So why are you insisting on it?
At any rate, after being involved in drug policy reform for over 20 years I believe we now have a majority of Americans that support Marijuana Re-Legalization. We would love the support of NORML, DPA and MPP. But I don't think we even need it anymore. So lets do it right. And let's do it now.
So here is my strategy to force the Re-legalization of Marijuana now.
The Strategy
What the American People need to do, right now, is insist on a Special Joint Session of Congress, much like what was done to pass the TARP Bailout which 80% of the American Public were against. But Obama signed it anyway. This time we want a Special Joint Session of Congress to Re-Legalize Marijuana "self cultivation" because, in this case, it is what the majority of Americans want.
The Special Session will be convened to address the National Security threat that we face as Mexican Drug Cartels continue to infiltrate over 230 American cities and use their smuggling routes to bring in Islamic and Chinese Terrorists. As much as 70% of their profits come from Marijuana.
In this session Congress will do three things:
(1) Take Marijuana off the Controlled Substances Act of 1970
(2) Withdraw from all UN Drug Accords concerning Marijuana
(3) Implement the MERP Model: unlimited, unregulated, untaxed Marijuana "Self Cultivation" for all Adult Citizens over the age of 18.
The day after the Special Session has fulfilled these requirements Americans may immediately begin to grow their own Marijuana under the the provisions of the MERP Model. Merry Christmas America!
"Did you know that the police finance this drug war by confiscated over 1.2 Billion dollars worth of property from Marijuana consumers each year?"
Within weeks the Mexican Drug Cartels will be no more. Those involved in the trade will be forced to move back to Mexico The sick will have access to free medicine and the "swine" will no longer have an excuse to break into your home looking for "weed."
Did you know that the police finance this drug war by confiscated over 1.2 Billion dollars worth of property from Marijuana consumers each year? Don't you think this needs to stop?

Could that be part of the real reason they fight so hard against Legalization of Marijuana?
The benefits will be almost unimaginable. It will not cost the American Taxpayer a dime. It will save at least 10 Billion annually in DEA funding. It will keep about 27 Billion, previously going back to Mexico, in the US economy create jobs and generating tax revenue.
Please Obama. I challenge you to dispute these claims. I also challenge you to come up with a more simple, elegant and effective policy than the MERP Model for Marijuana "Self Cultivation.". Any time you or, Drug Czar, Gil Kerlikowske (aka "Killer Cow Pie") want to debate, you know where to contact me.
Yes it is simple. And YES WE CAN you hypocritical "pot smoking" excuse for a President. And don't give me this crap about how you are "not going to legalize it. Yes you are. And your going to do it immediately by fully implementing the MERP Model.

First National Protest for "Marijuana Self Cultivation" -- Saturday November 21st, 2009
This strategy is based on local protests and utilizing the next month to spread word of this protest "virally" both on and off the internet. We also welcome similar protests around the planet. Here is how this will work:
Getting the word out:
* Send the link to this article virally across the internet by posting it on websites, sending it to discussion groups, FaceBook, MySpace etc.

* While you can assemble any where you wish, the focus should be on Police Stations, Court Houses and Federal Buildings. You should communicate with these establishments to let them know about the protest and learn where you will be allowed to assemble. You should pick locations that are visible to the most people traffic and you should send out a brief press release out to the local media at least 10 days before the event.
* All events should begin at "high noon."
* Once you have arranged a location for your event make sure you send the required information to the following email address with "11/21/09 Pot Protest" in the subject line.

Attending Protests
In the next week I will update this page with a link to all of the planned events in State/City order. So people that are interested in attending should visit this webpage often to see where the closest protest will be for them to attend.
Attendees should come in peace. No swearing at the police etc. Also be aware that it is not uncommon for government "plants" to infiltrate such events in an attempt to precipitate violence. Do not fall for that.
Attendees should make signs with appropriate messages such as:
"Re-Legalize Now Obama"
"We Want a Joint Session of Congress So We Can All Smoke a Joint"
"Joint" Session of Congress Now Obama
"Obama. Why Do You Support the Rights of Gays to Suck on the Joint of Their Choosing But Won't All Us to Suck on the Joint of Our Choosing"
[We have nothing against the gay community. But we just want our civil rights too].

"Within weeks the Mexican Drug Cartels will be no more."
Dude, what planet are you living on? Just because marijuana is legalized, re-legalized, whatever, will not eliminate the Mexican Cartels. There is the huge matter of cocaine they dabble in, not to mention other drugs.
I am for the re-legalization of marijuana, but please don't do the very same thing you accuse the other side of doing, and that is spreading misinformation. The Mexican Drug Cartels will not disappear, or be "no more" if marijuana is legalized.
Dave: With all due respect 70% of the Mexican Drug Cartel's profits are from Marijuana. So if we can all simply grow our own that deprives the Cartels while similtaneously keeps about 28 billion dollars in the US each year. Depriving any company, legal or illegal, of 70% of their profits will most assuredly destroy the company. In this case the "company" is the Mexican Drug Cartel.
