DreamSynergy™ Certification Program

 

Are you interested in experiencing how dreams can enhance both your personal and professional life? The Institute for Dream Studies (IDS) is offering a DreamSynergy™ Certification program that educates people in dreams, dreamwork and dream group leadership. First intensive begins November 6-9, 2009 and is located on the beautiful resort island of Hilton Head, South Carolina. This SF Dream Research Examiner is a graduate of IDS and knows this is a life changing opportunity to immerse yourself in the power of the dream.

Of Dream Synergy: The full certification program consists of two parts, and can be completed in approximately two years ( two year commitment is not required.) In Part One participants will explore the process of organizing and leading dream groups, while honoring the sacred nature of the dream. Details of group work will be studied and participants will learn a variety of creative methods in dreamwork. Participants will work with their own dreams, allowing for personal growth during the program as well as providing 'hands-on' learning. Those desiring DreamSynergy™ Certification will continue to Part Two of the program, which includes practical experience leading dream groups, 'business' aspects of dreamwork, additional dreamwork methods, and continued personal dreamwork.

DreamSyngeryTM Certifcate students at the Charleston, SC location

Location for 1st Intensive: The Crowne Plaza Hotel on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Located oceanfront, the Crowne Plaza is the perfect setting for dreamwork! The grounds provide a peaceful and relaxing setting with hammocks and Adirondack chairs for journaling or reflection. The ocean and grounds can be quickly accessed from meeting spaces and hotel rooms, making a walk on the beach easy to fit in before and after classes (See photo gallery).  NOTE: A special lodging rate of $99/night + tax and fee is available for our group. But please do NOT contact the hotel to reserve. When you commit to the program, additional information will be sent to you including fee payment and carpool options from airport.

Advisory Board Members/Guest Speakers: In addition to Justina Lasley (Director, Institute for Dream Studies) sharing her knowledge and experience at each intensive, most events will also include a guest speaker of well-resepected professors, dreamworkers and/or authors in the field of dreams including the Bay Area’s dream scholar, Kelly Bulkeley, Robert Hoss, Lee Irwin and Jean Raffa. Other IDS advisory board members include Bay Area’s Stanley Krippner and Jeremy Taylor and international representatives, Art Funkhouser and Nicole Gratton.

Continuing Education: The Institute for Dream Studies is approved by SCLLR (SC Dept. of Labor, Licensing and Regulation) to provide Continuing Education credits to counselors, marriage and family therapists and psycho-educational specialists. (Sponsor #455). CE contact hours are available for the certification program. Satisfactory completion of both Part One and Part Two intensives and assignments results in DreamSynergy™ Certification.

Founder and Director of IDS, Justina Lasley

Justina Lasley, M.A. is the Founder and Director of the Institute for Dream Studies in Charleston, South Carolina and is a leading dream specialist conducting dream groups and workshops for nearly 20 years. She is the author of two books: Honoring the Dream: A Handbook for Dream Group Leaders and In My Dreams... a unique dream journal to capture and record dreams, thoughts, and sketches. Justina earned her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology with an emphasis in Dreams at the University of West Georgia, and studied at the University of Paris with many well-known authors and dream specialists. Justina’s years of training and teaching experience enhance her capabilities as an instructor, enabling her to assist individuals on the path to personal and spiritual growth and to unlock the wisdom of the unconscious.
