Thursday evenings in downtown Nashville will never be the same since the start of the Live On The Green concert series yesterday. There was food, drink, fun and music galore for the entire family.
Under the setting sun, crowds gathered to enjoy a relaxing time with family and friends. First up, Mayor Karl Dean kicked off the festivities with an opening announcement and the music and fun geared up. On stage to start the evening was the band Ten of Tenn. With clear vocals and catchy melodies, locals settled in for the night.
Next up, just as the sun was setting, Modern Gypsies performed much to the delight of the kids and young at heart. There was cool music by a violin, flag dancing by a man in a gold costume and fire breathing that brought a smile to young and old alike.

When local band, American Bang, took the stage the crowd was ready to rock. Hard driving guitar and soulful vocals had the audience head banging into the night. Playing under a full moon to the growing crowd of happy concert goers it seemed that things couldn’t get any better.

Then the closing act, Toadies, cranked up the jams and the crowd surged towards the stage. It was SRO and looking out into the darkness, you could glimpse the happy faces of the audience. This is what they came to see. It was the perfect ending to a great evening under the stars.
