The Douglas County Sheriff's Department website is a plethora of great information for area residents.
Not only can you see the "Most Wanted List" but you can use an interactive map to see the crime patterns in the county, report a crime online. Wondering what it is that the Douglas County Sheriff does? You can see exactly by looking at their "Calls for Services List" and if you see a dog running at large, an aggressive dog or would like to report any animal abuse, you can also get information about about animal control here.
Are you interested in working for the Douglas County Sheriff? They have some professionally produced video's that talk about the interesting job opportunities that might be available and the special qualities you'd need to fulfill the positions.
The D.A.R.E. program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education ) is also housed at the Douglas County Sheriffs Department and this program is very active at all of the Douglas County Schools. They also regularly display smashed automobiles at the front door of the area high schools to warn our teenaged drivers of the dangers of driving too fast or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Douglas County is the eighth most populous of the 64 counties in Colorado and the largest in size in the Denver Metro area. It is also one of the largest growing counties in the entire United States. * (via wikipedia) Because of this the Douglas County Sheriff's jurisdiction can sometimes be confusing to new residents. You must live in "Unincorporated" Douglas County or the City of Larkspur to report crimes to them. If your incident occurred within the boundaries of the Town of Castle Rock, Town of Parker, or City of Lone Tree, you must file your report with that municipal town or city agency.
