The Parker Branch of the Douglas County Library recently had a major remodel with fabulous results. By taking out the old display cases at the front and moving walls, computer cubbies and the office equipment the children now have a wonderful large new space for story time and other fun activities that the library provides.
Since the proposed tax increase failed in the last election, the libraries are doing their best to accommodate the growth in Douglas County without having to build a new facility.
The remodel endeavored to copy the look of a book store in the front displays and throughout the children's and youth adult section of the remodel by placing the books in an inviting manner and in themes on the shelves. The children's section of the library also added games and bring big photo's as well as kids computers with games loaded on them. Take a look at the slide show below.

Good coverage for this event.
I'm sure those who use this library are thankful for the improvements! (I know homeschoolers will be!)
