In it's second year, the Parker Downtown Development Council (DDC) is once again running carriage rides in downtown Parker Friday and Saturday nights through the New Years Eve.
This is a new family tradition that fits in so well with the quaint downtown area that Parker residents have come to love and enjoy with their own families as well as visiting relatives for the Christmas holidays.
Your ride includes a trip throughout the historic scenic downtown area with stops along the way. Each stop offers a variety of entertainment from caroling groups, other live music, arts and crafts at Santa's Workshop, Christmas story time for children of all ages facilitated by the Douglas County library and an appearance by Old St. Nick himself.
Dates:
Friday's and Saturdays
December 11, 12, 18, 19
Thursday December 24, and Saturday December 26th.
Cost: $5/person - Slide Show
Tickets can be purchased prior to the even or the night of your ride at various businesses located in downtown Parker, CO.
"The Parker DDC is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to increase the quality of Parker’s historic downtown area. They accomplish this by bringing local businesses, landowners, and the Town of Parker together to provide a more enjoyable, vibrant, and viable downtown for the Parker citizens, community, and businesses. Several other events they put on include the Smokin’ Brew BBQ, CarFest, Wine Walks, and ParkerFest."

My husband and I took a carriage ride on our honeymoon. As it was after Thanksgiving, all the lights were up and it could have been so romantic if my people person new husband hadn't talked to the driver the entire time. lol
Lovely! That would be fun.
