Songstresses, Liz Clark and Tessa Perry will be teaming up for a special evening of harmonies, songs and stories at
Kunjani Coffea in Parker CO Dec 18th at 6:30pm
Liz Clark, originally from Parker and a Ponderosa High School alum, but now a New York City transplant, was schooled in the Denver Local Music Scene. "I started playing gigs around Colorado when I was 14. There were so many music supporters- I learned all the ropes of how to be a musician from Denver, I'll never forget that", says Liz, who will be playing a duo acoustic show with fellow songwriter, Tessa Perry, from Ireland.
Already established as critically-acclaimed and popular performers, Liz Clark and Tessa Perry joined voices and forces four years ago, creating a union that proves that the whole is more than the sum of the parts.
Using their natural instincts of collaboration, they've performed on both sides of the Atlantic, playing to small coffeehouses and rock clubs to sold-out concert halls, opening for the likes of Ani DiFranco, Damien Rice, Joe Walsh and The Counting Crows.
"We both respect each other tremendously. Really, what we're trying to do with our music is just do what feels right, share our love of music with each other and hope that translates to our audiences. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that," says Liz.
Liz and Tessa's split their time this past year touring the USA with the rest of the year spent in Ireland, working a 10 acre organic garden and running an award-winning cafe on the Emerald Island's West Coast.
Liz Clark has just finished recording her third studio album, Pursuit. With her most honest songwriting to date, the response to this new album has been unprecedented with song placements on television programs such as The Hills, The Real World Manhattan, and also resulting in a Top 10 music video on MTV's LOGO channel.
Tessa Perry, a singer/songwriter in the mode of Suzanne Vega and Beth Orton, has been delighting audiences with her soulful folk sound and honest-to-life lyrics wherever she performs. “Perry’s own sound is distinctive enough to push her clear of comparison," said one influential critic. In Ireland, she's a superstar-in-waiting, opening for The Indigo Girls, The Corrs and Lisa Hannigan.
