Furloughs aren’t just for state workers anymore. The Sacramento SPCA (SSPCA) recently announced the start of their own Fur-Low Fridays.
On Fur-Low Fridays, half-off adoption specials will be available on all adoptable SSPCA animals. The SSPCA hopes that this promotion will encourage people to adopt homeless animals as well as ease the financial burden that many people are feeling in this tough economic climate so individuals and families can find the right companion animal to welcome into their homes.
The Fur-Low Friday promotion is on now but will only be available for a limited time. Visit the SSPCA at 6201 Florin Perkins Road in Sacramento from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to take advantage of the half-off adoption specials. For more information about the SSPCA, visit www.sspca.org. Remember that choosing to adopt a pet is an important decision. Before you adopt a pet, read the “Before You Adopt” section of the SSPCA website and take the posted quiz to be sure that this is the right time for you to add a pet to your family. If now is not the right time for you to adopt an animal, you can still help the SSPCA pets that are looking for new homes by making a financial donation to the SSPCA, becoming an SSPCA member, donating supplies and dog beds or volunteering your time.
