Janesville, WI - Ignorance, disregard, or flat out cruelty has once again claimed the life of a dog that was confined to a hot car in Wisconsin.
The outside temperature on Tuesday was 86 sweltering degrees, but that didn't prevent Anisha Butalla, 24, from leaving her 2 yr-old Pit Bull locked in a vehicle for an unbelievable 4 hours.
Animal control officers, along with Rock County Police, broke out the vehicle windows in an attempt to save the young dog, but it was too late - the dog died at the scene.
Anisha Butalla is currently at the Rock County Jail on charges of felony mistreatment of an animal, resulting in death.
The reality is short and sweet - it is summer - it is hot. Temperatures across the nation are soaring and this is not the time to take your dog with you to run errands.
Do not leave your pets (dogs, cats or otherwise) or your children, locked inside of a vehicle. The interior of a vehicle can become as hot as an oven, causing serious injury or death. Cracking windows or parking in the shade, is not adequate. Even on an overcast day, interior temperatures of a car can become unbearable.
Sadly, every summer, too many dogs die when left inside of a vehicle. Be on the lookout for pets left inside of vehicles on hot days. If you see a cat, dog, or child, locked inside of a vehicle - contact a store manager, or phone the police. Time is of the essence, especially when it is sweltering outside.

UNBELIVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SHE KNEW DAMB WELL WHAT SHE WAS DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMB PEOPLE, USE YOUR F~IN, M.F*$&IN BRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, people really are that clueless. I searched a small shopping mall last Summer trying to find a dog owner who left her border collie in the car with windows rolled down but it was in the middle of summer and I was panting sitting in my own car for 2 minutes. She was surprised about my news that her dog could overheat in spite of the open windows. Tell all your friends and any one that will listen that cars and exercising your dog on hot days is a no no!!
What an awful senseless death for the poor dog. Was it a female or male Pitbull? What was her/his name? May she or he rest in peace. And may the cruel, stupid woman be rightfully punished and not just slapped on the wrist and put on probation.
So So sad! What a horrible thoughtless act.
The sad thing is, this probably happened a handful of times today alone all over the country. This one story isn't the only story.
I wouldn't leave my makeup in a hot car for four hours...much less my little buddy! The rest that I have to say isn't fit to be published!
if i called the cops here about that they probly wouldnt do anything they pretty much dont care about anything
