Stephanie Colman has been training dogs professionally for 10 years. She currently shares her life with dogs "Zoie," a Whippet and "Quiz" a Golden Retriever, and has competed in seven different types of dog sports, all trained with positive reinforcement methods. She was the featured trainer for KNBC's "Dog Bites" series, an eight-month run of twice-weekly dog training segments, and her dog "Quiz" can be seen in the hugely popular "Speeding Poem" online campaign for animal adoption. She teaches group classes in partnership with J9's K9s Dog Training in Los Angeles, and also runs her own training business, Caninestein Dog Training, which specializes in uniquely fun training adventures and opportunities such as weekend training camps. Stephanie holds a BA in journalism and public relations and is a regular contributor to Whole Dog Journal, APDT's Chronicle of the Dog and many other publications. In addition to managing her life as a trainer and writer, she is currently pursuing a master's degree in mass communication. She clearly likes to stay busy!
