Dachshund Meet-Up Group in the Houston Heights.

Houston Dachshunds and their humans now have their very own meet-up group in the Heights. The Hounds in the Heights is a great way for Dachshunds and their owners to play and socialize.
This local dog group will also discuss important issues like training, health, and nutrition. So whether you have a smooth-haired, wirehaired, or longhaired Dachshund, you are invited to join the Hounds in the Heights meet-up group.
The group’s very first Doxie meet-up will take place on Sunday, February 21, 2010. However, there will be an opportunity for Dachshund owners to meet beforehand at the 2nd Annual Wiener Dog Races at the Sam Houston Raceway on February 13, 2010. I belong to the Chicago Backpackers meet-up up group and am considering staring my own cross-country ski meet-up group. Meet-up is a great social outlet for people to share their hobby with like-minded people online and in person.

Weiner dogs are so adorable-- and they are very popular in NYC. Every other dog on the street is a Dachshund.
