The Humans Behind Barkin’ Doggie Biscuits™
After adopting Rocky, a yellow Labrador Retriever, and Zeus, a black Labrador Retriever/Weimaraner mix, from BARC (the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care in Houston, TX), the lives of Annvi and Tobiah, were forever changed. They knew they wanted to do something to help dogs in rescue groups and shelters.
After many discussions of "what" and "how," they came up with the idea of baking all natural biscuits and donating one biscuit for every biscuit sold. Their generosity doesn’t stop there though; both Annvi and Tobiah volunteer at BARC on the weekends; and Annvi is even on the board of the Homeless Animal Partnership Initiative (HAPI).
DONATIONS
Donations are made quarterly and reach not just the greater Houston area, but nation-wide animal charities as well.

Look like some healthy and tasty dog treats.
what a great entrepreneurial business with a great cause. I wish them luck!
A great way to partner.
All 3 flavors sound good. Shipping a bit pricey for me to have any shipped to NY but if I could get them local would definitely buy them to help the cause.

Nice option for the dogs. my dog is fussy about snacks.
Aw, dogs will love them.
That is so cool!
hopefully they have good quality control in the factory to prevent any sicknesses, as had happened in the past.
Great product idea and love that they give back.
Great article and I love that they are donating....that's a terrific idea.
I remember seeing treats for pets and people in the pet store, but hadn't seen them in a long time. It's an interesting idea, especially for kids.
These sound great, I wish they made them for cats too!

Neat nutritional supplement article and it's encouraging what the owners give back to the community with these described efforts. Nice job, Bobbi.
Cheers...
they don't have them here but sounds great
Good info!
thanks for this--both our dogs have sensitive tummies, so I'm happy to try these and do a good deed at the same time
What a great concept for a company and a product. I will try them with my dogs now that they are seniors and their diets have changed.

So have you eaten one? :)
If I were a dog I bet I'd eat 'em!
Something like this really makes a difference. I had started making my own pet food with bean sprouts and garlic and all kinds of yummy stuff. I know it helped because I had so many pet adoptions when I lived in the country.
What a great idea!
Very interesting. It is nice to know there are products for dogs that good enough for humans. Maybe all dog/pet products should be this way.
