Two-day Pet EXPO at Fort Meade: May 30-31

Fort Meade is hosting a Pet Expo and it sounds like a lot of fun.  This two-day event is featuring a number of special attractions, including an Adoption Corner (for greyhounds, Yorkies, ferrets, cats, kittens and more) and fly ball races with over 350 participating dogs. There will be demonstrations of Basic & Protection Training by K-9 Koncepts, free pet health examinations, and a pet fashion show. Also on hand will be novelty and food vendors.

And if you think you need a special military clearance to enter Fort Meade, think again. This event is open to the general public.

Plus, admission is free!

Our Columbia Dogs-on-the-Go group did a Veterans Day walk at Fort Meade last year and really enjoyed the grounds. There is a lovely walk around Burba Lake.
