"The Plastic Bottle"
- Empty.
- With dog food.
- With treats.
- With a bell.
- Something with your scent
You could use either a 20 oz. or 2 liter plastic bottle and fill it with all sorts of things to make a cheap and fun toy for your toy. If you use dog food or treats make sure to reward them after they have finished playing with the dog by giving them what was inside.

Milk Carton
It might be the shape, it might be the smell, but your dog will love chasing around a milk carton inside or outside.

* With plastic bottles and milk cartons always supervise your dog's play. Sometimes the cap may come off, or they might start ripping it to shreads and try to eat it. When this happens it should be taken away promplty and thrown away.

Bobbing for Apples
Basically it's the same general idea as humans bobbing for apples. This is a great Summertime activiy, that your dog will have fun with. Use a bucket that your dog can't get their heads stuck in, fill it with water, and put in an apple. They will try time and time again to retrieve the apple until they are soaking wet. Your dog may try to push over the bucket, in this case just put something in the bottom to keep it stationary. Their reward is a health snack!

Guttless Fleece Toys
You can buy a couple yards of faux fleece at a local fabric store and sew them together. You can make twice as many toys than you can buy for the same price. For dogs who can get the stuffing out in a minute or two, this guttless toy will be good for them. If you prefer to add stuffing you could do so.

The Kong
While the kong may not be home made, what you put in the kong can be. Get creative and make your own treats. Using the kong is a great idea to keep your dog busy and they get a yummy treat during the process.
- Stuff food or treats inside and seal with peanut butter.
- Put peanut butter and water inside and freeze it.
- Use home made treats to stuff inside.

Home Made Treats
- For home made dog recipes visit Bull Wrinkle.
- Freeze dog food or treats inside of an ice cube.
- Plain ice cubes work just as well.

* Be sure to always supervise your dogs play. Each dog's personality is different and some might like some of these toys better than others. Try them out a few times and find out which ones they love!
