How To Run With Your Dog
- Start by taking your dog on long walks at least half a mile every other day.
- After a week or so introduce brief periods of running.
- Increase the running slowly until your routine is completely running.
- Talk longer runs, increase by 10 minutes every week.
- If your dog slows down, then slow down as well.

Keep In Mind
* Make running FUN for your dog! Praise them and give them a treat after.
* Try to run on a softer surface such as grass or dirt trails.
* Concrete and asphalt can be harmful for your dogs paws.
* Always check paws before and after running for any cuts or scraps.
* Dogs sweat differently than humans do. They sweat by panting and through their paws.
* Make sure to stop for water breaks, and even let your dog run through the sprinklers.
* Give your dog a day in between long runs.
