EA chief financial officer Eric Brown has revealed an extensive DLC plan over the next half year for DICE's shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Brown made an address today at the Wedbush Securities 8th Annual New York MAC Conference stating that BFBC2 will receive an "extensive paid digital content plan with players receiving multiple packs of $5, $10 and $15" over the following six months.
EA has already released two maps for free upon the game's launch, with plans for two more free maps by the end of the month. Guess that means we'll be looking for much more from the paid content when it arrives.

I don't like paying for content. EA had already invested in creating the content and made their profit. And considering how terrible their server service has been, they should make all content free as an apology for sucking
M$ needs to release that us Xbox 360 gamers need bigger media to store games on either by MUCH cheaper hard drives or a blu-ray add-on. So many games and developers are saying that the 360 has limitations and with no new console for years to come, the 360 will come second to the PS3 because of a pathetic ideal of having download only. What a load of crap. M$ should shallow its pride and allow a blu-ray add-on for games. They bang on about video downloads but what about the f*cking games.
My brother has both a PS3 and a 360. He purchased FFXII yesterday. Guess which format .yep, its on PS3.
M$ your a greedy c*nt.
I agree with Justin. Going to be a slap in the face to charge for map packs after people paid for a game and still are barely able to play it online after 2 weeks. I have not played for 1 day since release without the servers coming down or some random server problem.
You may all cry on how the server are down and deserve some sort of compensation? Wow in that case for every game that has a small glitch or service goes down to techinical difficulties would never even consider making DLC since they wont get anything in return. The fact is it cost money to make these DLC, also this is not mandatory for companies to make these, so be glad we are getting something at least. Now for complaining about the blue ray addon your cheap already, and now you want to go and buy a blue ray addon for the 360. You really need to start thinking rather than complaining YDI.
I'm out going to play some BC2 on 360, which i only had stat problems and disconnects last weekend this week been good to me.
The maps are all going to be free if you got the game new cause it came with the VIP code. I hope the add new guns. I would pay for them
