A former top adviser to President George W. Bush, was granted a divorce iafter 24 years of marriage.
Karl Rove and his wife Darby were married in January 1986 and have one son.
A friend of the Rove family told POLITICO: “After 24 years of marriage, many of which were spent under incredible stress and strain during the White House years, the Roves came to a mutual decision that they would end the marriage."
A spokesperson for the family, Dana Perino, said Rove and his wife "came to the decision mutually and amicably." The couple remain friends and spent Christmas together with their son.
