Southern Californians live in a very special place. Near-perfect weather allows most to spend a large majority of their time enjoying the outdoors and amenities of the region.
Within a short drive of Disneyland, Southern California offers many entertainment opportunities. The Los Angeles and San Diego regions both offer many exciting entertainment venues for the whole family. There are cultural treasures, architectural marvels and whole world of wonder waiting for you and your family in Southern California.
From the Disneyland Resort, visitors can choose to drive or take a train to Los Angeles or San Diego. Traffic in the southland can be a challenge, but it’s also a treasured way of life in the area. You’ll find San Diego’s public transportation pretty good and many sites are walkable from the downtown train station. LA may be best seen by driving or taking a tour bus. Rail can transport you to many locations, but remember LA is a sprawling metropolis with many distinct districts, not all of which are covered by the growing subway and light rail systems.
If time is limited, chose one region. Both have museums, both have fantastic zoos, and both are replete with culture.
There is more to Southern California than Disneyland, and it’s waiting for you!
