Lots of people think that going down to Walt Disney World is just one thing – Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World is more than just one castle, a mouse, a dog or a princess!
Vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort is like any other vacation – it is what you want it to be about. Our vacation trips down there are about spending some quality family time. Our trips are multi-generational, with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins spending days in the parks and bonding over breakfasts or dinners.
We stay about 10 days and our trips are a mix of activity and rest – either enjoying a day at Downtown Disney or just relaxing at the Resort pool. Over dinner one day, my oldest son asked his grandfather (my father) what has been the best part of the trip and his grandfather responded that “being able to spend time with each of you has been absolute fun!” My father looked at each of his grandkids with a smile and everyone smiled back, but the memories we were discussing over our meal just reinforced that:
· He loved walking around the Tree of Life with my oldest son, looking at all the animals carved in the tree.
· He loved the opportunity to fly to other worlds in Star Tours with my middle son, a big Star Wars fan.
· He loved spending time in the Resort pool giving his granddaughter an impromptu swimming lesson.
Whatever you would like to do on your vacation, you can achieve just about anything:
Looking for a romantic getaway– apart from the 2,300 couples that get married at Walt Disney World each year, couples come to celebrate anniversaries and other special moments. Whether you are enjoying dinner at the Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT or enjoying an intimate horse-drawn carriage ride at up and down the Sassagoula River by Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside.
Planning a Solo trip– Are you a sports enthusiast who likes to participate in the Walt Disney World Marathons or just someone who likes to celebrate their birthday by themselves? Enjoy riding attractions such as Expedition Everest or Mission: Space in their single rider line, which typically moves faster than the stand-by line.
A Fun Spring Break– College students always look forward to getting away from their studies during Spring Break – who doesn’t like roller coasters, good food, movie theaters and two of the largest water parks – Walt Disney World has everything the young college student looking to get away and enjoy themselves in a safe and fun environment!
With 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a shopping district, golf courses and a NASCAR driving experience - a Disney vacation has something for every member of your family!
