Spending time with our loved ones is a very important factor for we never know when our time will be cut short in this life. We were blessed to have loved ones, children, spouses, and even lovable pets so why not try and make the most out of our busy lives by setting some time aside with those that we are truly blessed with?

Once a week, why not have a Family Disney night? Pick one night of the week where everyone is free of soccer practice, work meetings, debate club, and yoga and make it a special family night. Have everyone in the family pick a Disney movie together that they would like to watch. Before you all snuggle up on the couch together, make a Disney dinner that will make you all feel like you are back at Disneyland. If you can't do a night, then try a Sunday morning. After Church on Sunday morning, come back home and make a special Disney breakfast with Mickey Mouse pancakes to make your children feel like they are in Disneyland.

You could even decorate the kitchen and living room area, and have a theme once a week. While you are cooking, you can have the whole family participate while you are playing one of Disney's many soundtracks. This way you all are having fun and spending time together. After dinner is finished, get the whole family back in the kitchen with the music playing again, while everyone helps clean up. This way you can teach your kids that they can have fun while they help clean up and you get to spend family quality time with your kids. When the cleaning is done, make a Mickey Mouse themed dessert treat or buy the Disney Popsicles you can get in the frozen aisle and curl up on the couch to watch the movie you guys picked out.

I guarantee you that you and your kids will look forward to this one night of the week where you all can feel like you are on a vacation together in Disneyland. This way you as the parents will get a break from being stressed out over this economy or because of work, and the kids will look forward to knowing that they get this one special day with their parents while discovering the world of Disney. If you can make it happen, don't just have one night, have a few!

Who says you can't bring Disneyland home with you?!

Each Wednesday, I will post suggestions on here for a dinner and movie Disney night that you can take home with you to share with your children.
