Miley Cyrus is definitely the current teen queen of controversy. She's seen with a different boy everyday, pole dances at her young age, takes nude pictures, close friends with extremely controversial figure Britney Spears... the list could go on for awhile. Blogger Perez Hilton sums it up: "She just seemed to do nothing right. She started off poorly with pictures, leaked from her cellphone, of her in the shower. Then the Vanity Fair shoot, the trashing of her fellow costars, dating a 20-year-old when she's only 15 . . . but, whether we like it or not, she's a superstar. She's very crafty at getting our attention."
Even Disney has issued a statement distancing the company from their main star: "Disney Channel won't be commenting on that performance, although parents can rest assured that all content presented on the Disney Channel is age-appropriate for our audience - kids 6-14 - and consistent with what our brand values are."
Miley addressed these issues on the Today show, saying "my mistakes are kind of a little bit harder because they are in front of millions and millions of people." She also claimed that she will try to be harder to be less of a controversy queen "it makes you want to try harder the next time when I know that little girls look at me and say I’m their hero."
But Miley, we like you and your controversies. Don't stop being yourself!

Britney Spears controversial....no but she is a superstar entertainer adored by millions and millions of fans worldwide. And that quote from Disney hardly appears to distance themselves from Miley and her career...she earns them more than their theme parks. The author is ignorant on so many counts.
