When looking for a hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, do not rule out the Paradise Plaza Inn. The location is perfect at 9th Street and is right on the boardwalk.
The Paradise Plaza Inn is a good place as far as accessibility options. Handicapped parking is available right by the entry way, but they could use a few more handicap spaces. There is a ramp that will lead right into the hotel. Automatic doors greet you as you enter the hotel.
Even though the lobby may not be huge, there is still plenty of room to move around comfortably.
There aren't any long lines usually for using the elevator. The buttons are low enough for someone in a wheelchair and the buttons have Braille. There are two elevators and all the facilities are accessible. The store attached to the hotel is a bit small but can be accomplished by a wheelchair user.
If you are seeking a place that has a big pool, Paradise Plaza Inn may not be the right place. The pool is accessible, but it is not very big and it sits by the dumpster in the parking lot. The pool may be a good place for a quick swim, but not somewhere to spend a lot of time in.
A non-accessible room is pretty accessible unless you have a huge wheelchair. The bathroom is pretty large with a bath tub. The actual room is big, but you might not be able to fit a wheelchair to where the bed is located. So, you might want to reserve a handicapped accessible room.

Since you are visiting Ocean City, Maryland make sure you visit Seacrets. It is about a 5-10 minute drive from the Paradise Plaza Inn.
