Locust Point's Pazza Luna Trattoria - cha cha cha changes

I’ve always considered Pazza Luna restaurant in Locust Point a hidden little gem: quirky, earthy and a selection of the best traditional Italian pasta dishes but things change and chefs leave – it is a natural evolution of the restaurant industry.

Effective Tuesday, February 2nd Chef Davide Rossi, a Milan, Italy native, and his wife Christa take over the keys to this Locust Point’s Italian trattoria. The change of ownership will also end this 2010 Winter’s Restaurant Week offerings at Pazza Luna though should you have your heart set on any of the restaurant week offerings they will gladly accommodate.

The restaurant will close Sunday, January 31st for the transition and reopen on Tuesday, February 2nd with fresh new ideas and menu choices. Ms. Song, of the transition team, has advised that Pazza Luna gift certificates will be honored through to their expiration dates.

As they say in Italy, and I’m sure Chef Rossi and his wife would say, benvenuto – join us at our table. And from me to Chef Rossi and all restaurateurs who put so much on the line to share their food with us - successo.

We are SO glad to hear of the new ownership and especially the return of a real Italian chef to the kitchen. We tried to stick with PL even after Gianfranco left, but boy did it go downhill. Pasta specials were boring and often unappetizing and the menu became sadly "Americanized." We had decided not to return, but with a new chef in the kitchen we'll be happy to give it another chance.
