Anything that says culinary extravaganza always gets my attention, do those same words capture your attention? A line up of the cities brightest culinary stars are preparing gourmet fare. There will be wines of distinction, live and silent auctions and the music will be supplied by my high school ‘old neighborhood’ friend, Freddie Stevens.
Come on out for great food and monies raised helps make sure the homebound receive regular meals.
Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland kick off their 18th annual Culinary Extravaganza on Monday, May 3rd from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel at 202 E. Pratt Street. All proceeds aid people who are homebound, frail and elderly in Central Maryland to receive meals.
This is a great evening, great food and a great way to pay it forward.
Let me direct you to the website (www.mealsonwheelsmd.org/culinary) for the charity where you can check out all the chefs participating AND if you click on the chefs’ profiles each one has a recipe up on the site, even our own locally grown Food Network Star – Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes.
Meals on Wheels has been a link on both the Examiner’s page and Dining Dish’s blog for a very long time and hope that readers have clicked through and donated. Dress is business attire and parking is included in the cost of the ticket at $150 - $115 of the ticket price is tax deductable.
Hope to see you there – I’ll be the one taking pictures of food interspersed with munching on the delectable edibles. Be sure to come over and say hello
