For Baltimore the usual suspects end up at the top every year but there are a couple of surprises still to be found in the 24th edition of the Washington DC/Baltimore Zagat Restaurant Survey. Zagat is a consumer-based survey that issues restaurant guides throughout the world.
The survey also brought to life that there was virtually no inflation, the average cost of meal in Washington this year is $35.99 and $34.29 in the Baltimore area being spot on with the U. S. average of $35.36.
With no further ado, the top rated restaurants for Baltimore and surrounding areas are:

It surprises me that B was named the best for dining with children - the tables are very close together and the restaurant is quite small. I would think that would be a negative...but don't ask me, I don't have children :) Clementine, however, definitely makes sense.

I'm not a big fan of Charleston's so I wouldn't rate them the best, as Zagat always does. I think Jaime Luna is the best chef in Baltimore and that Tersiguel's is the best restaurant, for what it's worth.
