Those cool rockin’ daddies in dark leather, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, will release a three-disc live set (two DVDs, one CD), appropriately titled "Live," in November on the band's own Abstract Dragon label, in partnership with Vagrant Records.
The first DVD features over two hours of live concert footage from shows in Berlin, Dublin and Glasgow, shot at the end of the band's 2007 tour in support of “Baby 81,” their most recent full-length album. The second DVD will include additional off-stage performances and behind-the-scenes views like the making of the "Weapon of Choice" video. The audio CD offers 14 songs from the concert film. A 48-page booklet of candid photos is also included, making this complete package the dream gift on any BRMC fan's holiday wish list.
In the meantime, anyone who visits the band’s web site and enters an email eddress will receive a message with a link to a free download remix of the typically menacing (that's a compliment) “666 Conducer” from “Baby 81.” Visitors can also view an exclusive (surprisingly ambient-style) road trip video from “The Effects of 333,” the band's 2008 self-released instrumental album.
The Los Angeles-based group is currently in Hollywood finishing work on their fifth studio album, expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2010.
