Black Friday, this year on November 27, is the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. Traditionally Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season with huge sales at every major store. But you don't need to live (or even travel) south of the border to take advantage of the great Black Friday deals. Several stores in Canada are taking part and having their own Black Friday sales, and you can use this to your advantage!
- Check out stores that sell electronics, like Best Buy, for Wii fitness video games like Wii Fit Plus or Wii Ski and Snowboard. These games are incredibly popular right now, so they're bound to be discounted for Black Friday. These games are a great (and fun!) workout for those rainy days where you don't want to go out to the gym.
- Buy online and avoid the crushing crowds - many US-based retailers will ship to Canada from their websites (just don't forget about the exchange rate!). For example, Amazon.Com is starting their Black Friday sale today. Sports and exercise equipment is on sale for up to 40% off. Get a head start on that New Year's Resolution!
- Clothing stores are getting in on the Black Friday action too. Find your favourite store that sells comfy workout apparel and look for good deals on basics like tank tops and shorts - it's the best time to stock up on these items. A good place to start? The Gap Factory Stores and The Gap Generation Stores are offering up to 60% off starting today. And don't forget to check the clothing specials in large department stores like Walmart.

Great tips, and I can't wait to start the shopping! I also heard that Sears will have a huge sale, especially on their website (www.sears.ca). Terrific article ;)
