The gym provides the equipment, the Ipod supplies the motivation and the individual brings the willpower. But there's something missing...ah yes, clothes and sneakers. While there may be some people who do not consider footwear and apparel a necessary part of a workout, those who are not quite so "natural" will be happy to know that the South Boston Running Emporium is opening this month at 343 West Broadway in South Boston (across from Shenannigan's).
Bill Hartford, a member of the L Street Running Club, is bringing his experience and expertise to the store to provide customers with the gear and knowledge proven most valuable to runners. He is only carrying tried-and-true brands of shoes, apparel and accessories designed exclusively for runners, including Saucony, Asics, Sugoi, Brooks and Mizuno. Bill is also ensuring that each customer recieves the ideal sneakers for his or her running style by giving each individual a personal gait analysis. If for some reason the customer feels that the shoes purchased are not working for them, there is a 14 day trial period within which the sneaks can be returned, thus creating a worry-free purchase.
Any experienced runner will say that proper gear is the most important part of running. Correct attire and footwear will help a person avoid injury and maximize ability. Novices shopping at the Running Emporium can feel confident that they are buying the best sneakers and apparel for his or her stride and abilities, and veterans will appreciate the selection offered as well as the staff's know-how.
The South Boston Running Emporium looks like it is going to be a great addition to the Southie stores by providing top-of-the-line running gear and advice to runners of all abilities. The knowledgable staff and excellent selection of footwear and apparel may even convert the most natural of runners to lace up before heading out.
