Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 40 shots and the Calgary Flames shutout the Detroit Red Wings 3-0.
It was the second consecutive game at home that the Red Wings were shutout, losing 2-0 to Atlanta on Wednesday. It is the first time the Red Wings have been shutout at home in back-to-back games since 1977.
The Wings drought at home has reached 153:20 since Pavel Dastyuk scored against the Florida Panthers, and in their last three games at home they have outshot their opponents 120-62 yet have been outscored 8-1.
The players and the coach reiterated the need to maitain their game plan of getting lots of shots on goal and believe that the goals will follow. Here is some post game audio from coach Mike Babcock, captain Nicklas Lidstrom and Henrik Zetterberg.

Jamie Lundmark opened the scoring just 28 seconds into the game after the Red Wings were unable to clear the puck from their zone. The errant puck landed on the stick of Olli Jokinen who passed it to Lundmark just as he separated from Zetterberg's check to tap in the puck behind Chris Osgood.
Nigel Dawes made it 2-0 before the end of the first period capitalizing on some poor puck handling by Detroit. Jonathan Ericsson had stripped Dawes of the puck in the slot but mishandled the puck, as did Datsyuk who gave the puck back to Dawes in front of a startled Osgood who was unable to react quick enough to stop the puck from going between his legs.
Jokinen completed the scoring in the third period with assists going to Lundmark and Iginla, each player scoring two points on the night.

They can get the puck to the net but not in it. Seem's they need to work on plays that beat a goalie. That's easier said than done but that's about all that's left to win with things as they are. Go wings.
