With so many big attractions in Toronto, it can get expensive to pay all the admission costs. One very convenient way to save some money on ticket prices is to buy a CityPass instead.

A Toronto CityPass is a booklet with admission coupons for 5 major attractions:

For an adult CityPass, you'll pay $59 for the tickets that would have cost more than $100 had you bought them all separately at each attraction. That's a significant savings. Kid's passes are also available for children between the ages of 4 and 12, for $39.

Not only do these pre-paid tickets save you money, they can also save you time as well since you won't have to stand in the ticket line at each attraction. Just show your ticket at the entrance and go on it. If you are traveling with kids, this can be a bigger benefit than the cost savings since kids are not that great at standing patiently in line.

They are very handy, but you do need to plan on using them within a short time frame. Once you have used the first ticket in your book, you then have 9 days to use the rest of them.

Where to Buy a CityPass?

Each of these 5 attractions have the CityPass booklets for sale, so you don't necessarily have to purchase your passes ahead of time. Just go to your first stop, and get them there.

If you prefer to have your tickets all purchased before you even arrive in Toronto, you can do that too. You can buy passes through their website and have the booklets mailed to you.

For a more immediate purchase, you can print out your own "e-tickets" rather than wait for the mail. A perfect option for last-minute trips to Toronto. You'll have to turn in your e-tickets at each location's box office rather than the entrance, which does reduce the time savings though.
