Resort Report: Four Seasons Punta Mita

One of my favorite resorts is the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico. Stars like Tori Spelling and Dean, Guliana and Bill Rancic have visited this lovely resort.

Punta Mita is actually a 1,500 acre gated, resort community located right on the coast in the Mexican state of Nayarit. It's right next to Puerto Vallarta, a little beach town famous for its excellent surfing. Puerto Vallarta and Punta Mita are part of the Bahia de Banderas, the third largest bay in Mexico. Punta Mita shares the same latitude as the Hawaiian islands, making the temperature very comfortable and full of gentle sea breezes.

Punta Mita has become an increasingly popular travel destination in the last five years, thanks to the luxurious resorts and luxury vacation homes that have been built there. The Four Seasons Resort incorporates both the hotel, private residences, and luxury vacation condo rentals (called Residence Clubs). Those who rent these condos may also use the hotel facilities, which are incredible.

The Four Seasons provides four restaurants, the Aramara (contemporary Asian), Bahia (beachfront seafood grill), Ketsi by Richard Sandoval (modern Mexican), and Tail of the Whale (fusion). There is also Nuna, an amazing infinity pool overlooking the Pacific, an adult oriented pool called the Tamai which combines two main pools and two plunge pools, and a Lazy River. Check out the Tamai pool bar, which serves champagne and caviar at sunset!

The Four Seasons Cultural Center displays fine Mexican art, and ArteMita curates special art and cultural events exclusively for Punta Mita residents and resort guests.

The Jack Nicklaus Golf Course is one of the most famous golf courses in the world, known for its island hole, Tail of the Whale. This championship golf course is 200 acres of gorgeous landscape and includes a pro shop, driving range, putting green, and elegant locker rooms.

The Apuane Spa (meaning "stream of water") provides a serene atmosphere and full collection of spa treatments and massages. This spa uses one of Mexico's oldest traditions, using massage oils that include an extra ingredient - tequila!

This resort and area of Mexico is honestly stunning. Since this spot is becoming so popular, they've built luxurious tourist attractions mixed in with the beauty of Old Mexico. You can leave the gates of the resort and head into the village, where you will find tons of local culture, traditional markets, seaside cafes, gourmet dining, local art, surf shops, and high end shopping. They've just built a pedestrian promenade, perfect for those late night romantic strolls or afternoon sight seeing.

Definitely head over to Four Seasons Resort in  Punta Mita, Mexico for an other-worldly experience!
