Right tackle Ryan Harris was placed on the inactive list for the fourth straight game since dislocating his right, big toe against Baltimore on Nov. 1. Harris practiced in the Broncos' walk-through workouts this week and probably would have been available if not for the short week for the Thursday night Thanksgiving Day game against the Giants.
The only change to the inactive list was rookie outside linebacker Robert Ayers returning to the lineup after sitting out Sunday's game against San Diego. Jarvis Moss, Denver's first-round pick in 2007, replaced Ayers on Sunday but is back on the inactive list. Moss had been inactive for six earlier games.
Safety Brian Dawkins had been questionable for Thursday game because of a neck injury but he started. Dawkins had a big hit on the Giants' first play from scrimmage, knocking Hakeem Hicks out of bounds.
Others on the Denver inactive list: QB Tom Brandstater (3rd QB); WR Kenny McKinley; RB LaMont Jordan; G Seth Olsen; NT Chris Baker and RB Brandon Lloyd. Jordan is out with a back injury.
Giants inactive list: WR Ramses Barden; DB DJ Johnson; CB Kevin Dockery; RB Ahmad Bradshaw; LB Antonio Pierce; T Adam Koets; T Guy Whimper and WR Sinorice Moss.
NOTEWORTHY: Marshall Faulk was the lone NFL Network wag to pick the Broncos in the pregame show. Steve Mariucci and Deion Sanders both picked the Giants. Faulk said the Giants are "the perfect pill to what ills" the Broncos ... Getting to Giants QB Eli Manning could prove critical. During the Giants' four losses, Manning was sacked 11 ties. in the six victories, Manning was sacked just three times.
