Brandon Marshall has spoken. He told NFL Network he will report as requested to the Denver Broncos training camp on July 27.
Coach Josh McDaniels sent letters to Broncos players stating when they were expected to report to camp later this month. Most veterans are expected July 31; injured players (including Marshall, who is recovering from hip surgery) and rookies will report July 27.
Marshall told the cable network's NFL Total Access show, "As of right now, I'm still under contract. I have a wedding to prepare for, so I'm definitely going to show up. I'm not going to let them take no money."
The Broncos could fine Marshall $15,888 for every day he fails to show at Dove Valley training camp. Marshall, who requested a trade in June, missed the team's mandatory minicamp in June, earning a possible fine of up to $35,329.
From the looks of the interview on the NFL Network Marshall seems to have gotten better advice in the past month. If he shows up in two weeks and his hip is healed, Marshall will be a welcome addition to the Broncos' stable of receivers.
With back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, Marshall can command big money after the 2009 season when his four-year rookie contract is up. Unhappy with $2.2 million this coming season, Marshall chose not to report for mandatory workouts in June.
The funny part is Marshall was recuperating and wouldn't have been able to work with the team anyway. So, by not reporting Marshall only looked like a baby -- sounds like a former Broncos quarterback, huh?
But Marshall, who has been working out with All-Pro receiver Larry Fitzgerald in Minnesota, seems to have cleared his head and appears to have a saner approach.
"I don't think it'll be fair for me to sit up here and to kind of bash the organization or the things that we've been trying to keep behind closed doors," Marshall added in his interview with NFL Network. "It really shows you that you're going to play the game for why you started it, but at the same time, you have to secure you and your family."

C'mon Mr. Marshall, one more solid season and I'm sure the money will be there.
Denver loves you and we all want you to succeed, (especially while wearing the Orange and Blue).
Bottom line.... Marshall said he "Hates Denver"... get it...?It's in his "arrest report"....
